Are you looking for an alternative solution to fix your feet without being dependent on orthotics? Or are you still in pain despite wearing orthotics and trying different treatments?
A natural treatment to relieve pain and restore foot function
Foot Mobilisation Techniques (FMT) is a manual therapeutic method used to treat musculoskeletal foot and leg conditions.
Joint mobilization/manipulation is a long-established hands-on therapy widely used by manual therapists - primarily chiropractors, physiotherapists, and osteopaths - to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions throughout the body. However, few of them use all of the techniques to treat specific foot and leg conditions.
Manningham podiatry
Our sports podiatrists at The Manningham Foot Clinic are highly trained and experienced in this unique technique for treating foot and ankle problems. In most cases, we can help you feel better, move better, and perform better without the use of medications, surgeries, orthotics, or changing your footwear.
How do we do the work?
The therapy aims to relieve restrictions and stiffness in the joints of the feet while also improving joint position, allowing your body to naturally restore its optimal biomechanics (structure and movement of the body).
The joints will be taken through their natural motions to break up adhesions and restrictions within the area that prevents the joint to operate at its best position.
What does it actually do to the body?
Foot Mobilisation Techniques have been proven in the ability to:
Improve joint mobility by breaking up connective tissue adhesions and restrictions around joints.
Improve postural stability by stimulating the body’s proprioceptive systems. Significant improvement was seen particularly in elderly.
Improve muscle strength by invigorating the efferent nerve messages from the brain to the relevant muscles.
Reduce the ‘pain messages’ sent to the brain by stimulating the joint mechanoreceptors which suppress the nociceptor (a sensory receptor for painful stimuli) impulses to the brain.

What are Orthotics?
Orthotics are shoe inserts that have been designed to correct, support, and improve the function of the foot and lower leg. Orthotics, also known as orthoses, help to control foot movement and restore and support foot alignment. Orthotics can also help with knee, hip, and lower back pain. Orthotics can be used to help with injury recovery, sports performance, and long-term chronic foot issues. Prefabricated orthotics, custom orthotics, and even insoles that can be purchased at a chemist or sports store are all options for orthotics.
This is the main type of laser used to remove warts. The light heats up the blood in the tiny vessels inside the wart and destroys the vessels. Without blood, the wart dies and falls off. The laser’s heat may also attack the virus that causes the wart. The laser may feel like a rubber band snapping against your skin. You won’t feel much pain after the procedure is done. You should heal fully in 2-4 weeks.
Laser treatment can be beneficial for hard-to-reach areas, such as genital warts in your urethra, the tube that transports urine from your bladder out of your body. Depending on how many warts you have and where they are, your doctor may prescribe medicine to numb the area that will be treated.
